Basso has always concentrated on optimising the quality of its products and as such invests constantly in the training and qualification of its employees. Basso has implemented various Quality Control programs in the company over the years and on 26 October 1998 Basso joined an industry wide program organised by SEBRAE/RS known as "Preparing for ISO 9000" This called for a whole year of training, the creation and installation of the requirements of the ISO 9002 standard throughout all facets of the company, and the entire program took from October 1998 to November 2000. In April 2000, Basso contacted the International ISO Certification Company, DNV Det Norske Veritas to start the process of Certification of the Company and it's processes The initial pre-audit was performed early June and the main audit on the 12 June 2000, following which the DNV recommended Basso for the Certification which was awarded a few weeks later. This declares Basso to be in conformity with the requirements of the ISO 9002/94 certification for the MANUFACTURE OF SLIDING WINDOWS WITH FOLDABLE PERSIAN OR VENETIAN BLINDS AND ''MAXIMAR" WINDOWS. On 22 August 2000 we were honoured by an official communication from the Federal Standards Laboratories, ABNT-CN - 25, (the Brazilian Equivalent of the ASA, BSS or DIN organisations) stating that Basso was the first and only Brazilian firm to received this certificate in hardwood door and window manufacture.
