In May 1995 Basso sent a typical window product, the JCVS sliding window with external accordion Venetian louvers, to a well-known specialized Quality Control firm, 
Messrs L.A. Falcăo Bauer

2 - WATERPROOFING

The following table lists the test pressures used to simulate the Climatic Region Five (V) chosen for the test, the period of the test and the visual results observed. The maximum pressure of water specified by the EB 1968 standard (4 l/min.m2) for Climatic Region V was used.

The tests were performed first with both the Venetian louvers and the sliding glass window closed and then with only the inner glass window closed. The specification EB 1968 calls for the window to be completely waterproof with both sections closed and not to show excessive infiltration with only the glass portion closed. In the test, the BASSO window remained fully waterproof under both conditions.

Observation - In the tests for Air Penetration and Waterproofing the BASSO window met the EB1968 specification for Region Five and exceeded it for the Distributed Load Test where the EB1968 limit is 1850 Pa. Original copies of these test results are available to interested parties.
