| Join us on a 200 kilometer trek through some of
the most rugged terrain in Australia's wilderness - a land of lofty waterfalls
and of the gorges that etch into the 1000 metre high eastern escarpment
of the Northern Tablelands of the Great Dividing Range.
Rekindle your spirit of adventure - come and explore this spectacular landscape; breath deeply the fresh forest air, heavy with eucalyptus; learn to ride and much, much more about the bush - and do so in the friendly comfort and security of a Waterfall Gorges Adventure Holiday! |

It's a magic time, at sundown, to sip a steaming coffee around the crackling campfire. After you have unsaddled, fed and secured your mount, and swam in the pristine waters of a creek pool to get the sweat off your skin and the knots out of your muscles. |
| Or perhaps you would prefer an icy cold beer before your dinner ... prepared by our Chuck-wagon Charlie who is that only in name - a gourmet cook who prepares your meals every afternoon at your campsite for that night. Bringing fresh foods to meet you each day. Delicious hot substantial breakfasts to give you the energy you will need during your days in the saddle. Fresh fruits, rolls and juices. Delightful and varied pack lunches to enjoy on the trail, washed down with the sweet pungency of billy tea. Elegant dinner menus, accompanied by premium wines - Australian, of course!. |
| In the deepening gloaming to stretch under the
vastness of the Australian sky and experience the magnificence of its starcrowded
heavens - the Milky way, of course, and - as clear as you like - the Greater
and Lesser Magellenic Clouds, our two nearest neighbouring galaxies that
can't be seen from the northern hemisphere. Or from most cities or towns
here, for that matter, because of interference from the urban lights.
To listen to the chorus of the bush - to the birds, the insects, the frogs, all chanting their messages of reproductive urgency, of territorial prerogative, or simply to let their kind know that they are not alone; to the balmy breezes soughing in the myriad different leaves of the great and ancient trees of the rainforest; to the occasional thump-thump-thump of kangaroo or wallaby moving about to find fresh browsing. |
| Sleep comes very easy to the physically hard-worked bodies
of the trekkers; it's hard yakka to ride and walk all day, and the fresh
air burns off calories. The tranquility of the bush soothes the spirit;
the good food satiates the body; and nature, in her own domain, blesses
her grateful children with deep, healing, refreshing sleep.
To find new friendships - kindred spirits - amongst the others who are adventurous enough to undertake this trek. To learn about the wonders of our remarkable world, to live in and among them. Perhaps to find a romance to bring back to your normal life. For all of these things, come and join a trek - check out the links for details - and book now. |
